The designers were challenged with modernizing a dark, outdated condo into a light-filled space within a rather modest budget for this new homeowner. To maximize the overall effects of this remodel, funds were spent towards replacing the windows and flooring and updating the bathroom and kitchen. A snowy white palette was carried throughout this condo and incorporates minimal pops of color and reflective finish materials. Cost effective measures were also employed throughout the selection of lighting, window coverings, and flooring.

The small kitchen incorporates high-gloss acrylic cabinetry and polished quartz countertops reflect the recessed lighting above, while the dining mirrors reproduce views and natural lighting from exterior wall opposite of kitchen. Storage was maximized by increasing upper cabinet heights, widening the galley to incorporate two lazy susans, and incorporating slim appliances designed for condominium living. The backsplash mosaic tile provides dimension and texture against the sleek cabinetry. The greige tile compliments the quartz countertops, while the maple shelf relates to the dining pendant, and luxury vinyl plank flooring for additional harmony. All in all, these indestructible materials were paired in a way to achieve a luxe design that surely satisfied the client’s needs and low budget.
