TREADWELL MANOR

This project began as a “simple kitchen remodel” that soon turned into an extensive remodel of the entire main floor of the home. It was the client’s wish to bring the kitchen up-to-date and to achieve a better connection with the adjoining rooms, while still maintaining a degree of separation at the same time. Over the years and change of lifestyles, the kitchen became the sole room used by the client on the main floor so it was imperative to open it up to the amazing views and natural lighting contained within the dining and living rooms nearby. Per the designers’ proposal, a design was instrumented that achieves a semi-open floor plan that maintains the identities of each space and has transformed this “heart of the home” in extraordinary ways!

Through the process of transforming the kitchen and overall feeling of the main level of the home, it was the client’s wish to update the living room but maintain its original essence. While this room was once used extensively for entertaining guests, it was now rarely enjoyed and the commanding mountain views were merely being passed by and hardly ever seen through the small hallway pass through. Once this space was opened up to the adjoining rooms, it became evident that new features, finishes, and furnishings were required to carry this client’s lifestyle into the next chapter of life.
